Brewers & Distillers Push for More

During the 2019 Legislative Session, Montana Brewers and Distillers are both pushing for more. More hours, more ounces . . . more of a threat to retail licenses. HB 185 Revise Brewery Operation Hours (Rep Dave Fern)
MTA Position OPPOSE       HEARING Feb 5th 8:30am House Bus & Labor
HB185 would extend breweries taproom hours from 8:00pm to a 10pm close. The bill would go into effect upon passage. 

LC1489 Generally Revise laws related to distilleries (Rep Jim Hamilton)
MTA Position OPPOSE 

This bill proposes to increase the ounces of liquor provided in sampling rooms from 2 ounces to 4 ounces. It also would increase the amount of liters a distillery can sell to an individual in one day from 1.75 liters to 9 liters.
